The Avett Brothers Musical ‘Swept Away’ Premiere Delayed

The premiere of the theatre production Swept Away, featuring music from The Avett Brothers, has been delayed due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Originally scheduled for a June 2020 premiere, the production will now launch at the same venue, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, in the Summer of 2021.

“Berkeley Rep will issue new tickets to current Swept Away ticketholders with the new 2021 performance dates. Ticketholders will be assigned similar seats and dates,” as per a statement from organizers. Swept Away star John Gallagher Jr. recorded a special message pertaining to the delay.
