Tenacious D Announces 2018 Fall Tour

Comedy-rockers Tenacious D will hit the road for a series of headlining dates in November. The band shared a video announcing the run, the group’s first U.S. tour in five years, which also contains word a new album will “probably” be out before the end of the year.

The November run starts at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn on November 3. Jack Black and Kyle Gass then bring the tour to Boston on November 5, Washington D.C. on November 7 and Philadelphia on November 8. From there, The D hits Pittsburgh on November 9, Columbus on November 10 and Detroit on November 12. The tour is currently set to conclude at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre on November 13.

Jack Black made mention earlier this month that the sequel to the band’s 2006 movie The Pick Of Destiny is due this fall. Today’s announcement doesn’t provide any further details on the forthcoming film.

A pre-sale for the run will take place using the password “HOPE” on Wednesday, May 16 at 10 a.m. local. Tickets for Tenacious D’s headlining tour go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. local.
