Tedeschi Trucks Band Performs At Howard Stern’s Studio

Tedeschi Trucks Band recently stopped by Howard Stern’s studios at SiriusXM headquarters in New York City to record a mini-set. A pair of songs from the TTB’s visit to the home of the Stern Show have been shared on the SiriusXM app for on-demand viewing.

Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi‘s 12-piece ensemble barely fit in the studio. They were so cramped both drummers had to stand and play stripped down kits. Renditions of the original “Hard Case” from the recently released Signs and a cover of Derek & The Dominos’ “Keep On Growing” can be viewed on the SiriusXM app. Howard talked about the TTB, Derek’s playing and the group’s performance at his studio on today’s episode of the Stern Show. Stern erroneously called Derek the son of Butch Trucks (Butch is Derek’s uncle) and said the music reminded him of The Allman Brothers Band, a group Derek was a member of for 15 years. Howard’s cohort Fred Norris raved about Derek’s original style. Stern mentioned he watched both videos six times so far.
