The Tedeschi Trucks Band welcomed special guests Eric Krasno, Robert Randolph, Pedrito Martínez, DeShawn Alexander and Mark Whitfield during their Wednesday night concert at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Last night was the band’s fourth show of the six that make up this year’s Beacon residency.

Percussionist Pedrito Martinez sat-in with the 12-piece ensemble for the majority of last night’s set. The TTB and their guest got the show underway with originals “High & Mighty,” “Let Me Get By” and “It’s So Heavy.” Next, the group continued a trend of performing songs from Derek & The Dominos’ Layla & Other Assorted Love Songs by tackling “Anyday.” After “I’m Gonna Be There,” the Tedeschi Trucks Band were joined by guitarist Eric Krasno for two songs he co-wrote — “Misunderstood” and “Sweet & Low.”

The guest spots continued with sacred steel specialist Robert Randolph adding to the pairing of “Leavin’ Trunk” and “Volunteered Slavery.” Derek Trucks was then showcased on “Midnight In Harlem.” From there, the TTB performed a run of “Don’t Know What It Means,” “The Letter,” “Soul Sacrifice” and “How Blue Can You Get.” Krasno returned for a rendition of The Allman Brothers Band classic “In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed.” The main set concluded with “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” before the group brought out guitarist Mark Whitfield and keyboardist DeShawn Alexander for their “Let’s Go Get Stoned” encore. The residency ends with performances on Friday and Saturday nights. Live streams are available via nugs.tv.
