Tedeschi Trucks Band And Sharon Jones & Dap-Kings Cover Sly

Tedeschi Trucks Band are currently in the middle of the Wheels Of Soul Tour featuring Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and Doyle Bramhall II. A handful of the tour’s recent stops have seen all three acts teaming up for a Sly & The Family Stone medley during the TTB’s set.

One such instance of the “Sing A Simple Song”/”I Want To Take You Higher” medley took place earlier this month at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado. Despite heavy winds that came through the legendary venue throughout the evening, the three acts delivered a joyous rendition of the two Sly Stone tunes.
