Tears For Fears released a new single, “Break The Man.” The song is set for the legendary UK duo’s first album in 17 years, The Tipping Point, due out through Concord Records on February 25.
Tears For Fears’ Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith announced The Tipping Point — the follow up to 2004’s Everybody Loves A Happy Ending — in October and previewed the record with the title track along with an accompanying music video. The duo followed with the single, “No Small Thing,” and now, “Break The Man.”
Curt Smith detailed the latest song from The Tipping Point in a statement:
”Break The Man” is about a strong woman, and breaking the patriarchy. I feel that a lot of the problems we’ve been having as a country and even worldwide to a certain degree has come from male dominance. It’s a song about a woman who is strong enough to break the man. For me, that would be an answer to a lot of the problems in the world – a better male-female balance.
