Let’s start with Widespread Panic’s last headlining performance at The Fox which took place February 14, 2011 in celebration of the group’s 25th anniversary. The group debuted their version of the Dire Straits classic “Sultans Of Swing” as the final song of the evening. Watch fan-shot video of the debut shot by Troy Goode who tragically died while in police custody after leaving Friday night’s Widespread Panic show:
While Panic’s last headlining performance at The Fox went down in 2011, they did return to the venue on January 10, 2014 for a tribute to Gregg Allman. One of the two songs Widespread played that night was the Allman Brothers Band hit “Wasted Words” featuring guest guitarist Derek Trucks on slide.
