Taylor Swift Wins Record-Setting 4th Album Of The Year Grammy Award

Taylor Swift won the Grammy Award for Album Of The Year for her 2022 release, Midnights, at last night’s ceremony held in Los Angeles. The win was Swift’s fourth time taking home the Album Of The Year Grammy Award, which is the most wins by any artist in the coveted category.

Swift’s Album Of The Year win broke a tie with Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon and Stevie Wonder who have each won the Album Of The Year Grammy Award three times. Jack Antonoff, who produced Midnights, was given the Producer Of The Year Grammy.

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life,” Swift said while accepting her record-setting Grammy. “But I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack to code to a bridge I love, or when I’m shortlisting a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers or my band, or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show. For me, the award is the work. All I wanna do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much, it makes me so happy.”

Swift’s Midnights also earned the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album. While accepting that Grammy, Swift revealed her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19.

Miley Cyrus won Record Of The Year for her track, “Flowers,” Billie Eilish and her brother FINNEAS won Song Of The Year for “What Was I Made For?” and Victoria Monét won Best New Artist. Notable Grammy winners honored at last night’s ceremony included SZA, Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Allison Russell, Chris Stapleton, boygenius, Zach Bryan, Blind Boys Of Alabama, Paramore, Killer Mike, Shakti and Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, Edgar Meyer & Rakesh Chaurasia, among others.

Legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, who performed at the Grammys for the first time in her career, won the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album for her live release, Joni Mitchell At Newport.
