Taper’s Choice Covers The Doors With Tom Hamilton In Denver

Taper’s Choice covered The Doors’ “When The Music’s Over” with the help of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist . The sit-in happened at the end of Taper’s Choice’s show Saturday night at Cervantes’ in Denver.
Hamilton had stuck around after playing a solo opening set. His 17-minute sit-in occurred at the end of Taper’s Choice’s second set and featured Hamilton playing guitar and singing Jim Morrison’s lead vocal part on The Doors’ classic.
Taper’s Choice — bassist Alex Bleeker (Real Estate), drummer Chris Tomson (Vampire Weekend) keyboardist and guitarist Dave Harrington (DARKSIDE) — had not previously covered “When The Music’s Over,” which originally appeared on The Doors’ 1967 sophomore album, Strange Days.
