Tank & The Bangas Play For ‘Jam In The Van’ At High Sierra

Genre-defying New Orleans band Tank and the Bangas made their High Sierra debut a few weeks back at the Quincy, California festival and won themselves a slew of new fans. The winners of this year’s Tiny Desk Concert Contest were busy while on-site as they played a pair of sets in addition to participating in a Playshop. Tank & The Bangas also recorded a Jam In The Van session.

The producers of Jam In The Van brought the mobile recording studio to High Sierra and captured performances from a number of acts. One of those acts was Tank & The Bangas and recently Jam In The Van shared three songs the group laid down. In the videos below, frontwoman Tarriona “Tank” Ball leads the band through “You So Dumb,” “Drummers” and “Boxes & Squares.” Tank’s wild storytelling comes through in each performance.
