Tame Impala presented a “Tame Impala Soundsystem” set for the latest installment of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert video series. Kevin Parker went electronic for performances of three songs from the band’s 2020 studio album The Slow Rush with Jay Watson and Dom Simper.
“I’ll get Jay (Watson) and Dom (Simper) and we’ll do this kind of electronic jam with heaps of equipment around us and we’ll recreate the songs with samplers and sequencers,” Parker said. “I’ve wanted to do something like this for a while and thought Tiny Desk would be the opportunity to do it.”

The trio opened with “Breathe Deeper” from The Slow Rush, which came out in February. Parker then led the troupe through The Slow Rush singles “Is It True” and “Patience” at his home studio in Australia to close out the session.
