Watch Talib Kweli & Madlib’s Ardent ‘Air Quotes’ Performance On ‘Fallon’

Talib Kweli and Madlib were musical guests on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The pair performed “Air Quotes” from their recently released album, Liberation 2.
Issued exclusively on the subscription-based podcasting platform Luminary, Liberation 2 follows the hip-hop veterans’ 2007 joint release, Liberation. Kweli’s daughter, Diani appeared on several Liberation 2 tracks, including “Air Quotes.” Kweli and Madlib also included guest spots from Roy Ayers, Meshell Ndegeocello, Goapele, Q-Tip, Seun Kuti and others, including a verse recorded by the late Mac Miller.
For their Tonight Show “Air Quotes” performance Madlib and Kweli were joined by Diani and Kweli’s son Amani (who also contributed to Liberation 2). The backing band included Lettuce’s Erick “Jesus” Coomes on bass.
