Tallahasse-based hitmaker T-Pain has accomplished so much in his life, but like many of us still struggles with periods of doubt. Today, the Grammy-winning artist strikes a chord for self-love, compassion, care, acceptance and confidence during Mental Health Awareness Month by releasing the powerful new single “On This Hill” and an accompanying visual.

“This song is really about refusing to be gaslit anymore,” explained T-Pain. “It’s about coming to a realization that I have to stand up for myself. Over the years, that has just been something I’ve had to open my eyes to and learn how to deal with it. So yeah, I’ll die on this hill, ha!”

T-Pain is offering an “On This Hill” t-shirt with a contest for one year of free therapy from Talkspace. The video for the empowering new song finds the rapper taking part in a raw, fireside jam session. T-Pain’s potent vocals and vibrant voice come through both in the studio track and live performance video.

“On The Hill” arrives as T-Pain’s “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” cover with Jelly Roll appears on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and his “Been Like This” collaboration with Meghan Trainor ascends the Top 40 Chart. T-Pain will embark on the Mansion In Wiscansin Party Tour at the end of the month and then supports Pitbull for the Party After Dark Tour from August through October.
