The Black Crowes’ lengthy fall tour came to St. Augustine, FL on Saturday night for a performance at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. This summer the Crowes teamed with The Tedeschi Trucks Band for a tour of sheds and the two groups performed “Don’t Know Why” by Eric Clapton a handful of times. On Saturday Susan Tedeschi visited her former tour mates as the Crowes welcomed her for a rendition of “Don’t Know Why” in St. Augustine.

Tedeschi emerged 11 songs into the Crowes’ main set for “Don’t Know Why.” The Crowes’ set also included rare takes on “Lowdown,” “Nebakanzer” and “Cypress Tree,” before Chris Robinson and Co. delivered a double-cover encore of “Oh! Sweet Nuthin'” by Velvet Underground and Ry Cooder’s “Boomer’s Story.” Watch fan-shot footage of “Don’t Know Why” featuring Susan Tedeschi that has decent audio:

The Black Crowes’ fall tour continues on October 15 in Portland, ME.
