Sunday Cinema | Eric Clapton With Derek Trucks 2006

Derek wasn’t even 30 by the time he started touring with Clapton, but Trucks has always performed with the assurance, professionalism and skills of a guitarist twice his age. Sadly, there’s not much in the way of pro-shot footage or soundboard recordings from Derek’s tour of duty with Eric Clapton. However, we did come across a pretty good fan-made video recording of Clapton’s November 11, 2006 show at Osaka Jo Hall in Osaka, Japan. We get to see Derek deliver the goods on such songs as “Got To Get Better In A Little While,” “After Midnight” and “Layla.” Hopefully EC will put out an official release from the tour, but for now let’s check out slowhand’s visit to Osaka with Trucks in tow:
