We’d like to wish a very happy birthday to legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, who turns 69 today. Clapton was a member of The Yardbirds, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, Cream, Derek & The Dominos and Blind Faith before embarking on a hugely successful solo career.

For today’s Sunday Cinema selection we’ve found an outstanding 1987 documentary on Clapton put together for airing on the BBC. Clapton discusses the many eras of his career up until that point, shares his reaction to being called “god” and even reunites with Cream bassist Jack Bruce.
