Organizers of the Summer Camp Music Festival provided an update on a concert series originally planned for Memorial Day Weekend 2025 along the Peoria, Illinois Riverfront. A series of shows will now take place over the summer as a lead-in to the festival’s return in 2026 for its 25th edition.

“Although we gave it our best efforts, a variety of factors such as the state of the music festival industry, artist conflicts, and more did not allow us to put together a Memorial Day event this year that would live up to the Summer Camp Presents brand. At this time, our team is looking ahead to our full return in 2026,” stated the SCamp team on social media.

Summer Camp Presents will host five concerts at the Peoria Riverfront between June 20 and August 15. While the artists performing on the first and last day of the series are still to be announced, CAKE will perform at Riverfront on June 26 followed by The Infamous Stringdusters and Leftover Salmon with Kitchen Dwellers on July 17 and moe. with Eggy on August 7.

The Summer Camp Music Festival was held at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois over Memorial Day Weekend for many years. In 2024, organizers changed formats and presented the more intimate Solshine Reverie at Three Sisters Park.

Last December, organizers revealed Solshine Reverie would not be held in 2025. At the time, they intended to present a three-day series of shows on the Peoria Riverfront over Memorial Day Weekend “which will include many of the artists you have come to know as part of the Summer Camp family.” The December announcement also confirmed plans to bring back the full-scale festival for its 25th installment in 2026.
