Jamtronica act STS9 brought their current tour to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Friday night. The band tipped its hat towards the venue’s rich history of Grateful Dead and GD-related performances by dusting off their cover of “Shakedown Street” to end the evening.

Tribe opened with “When The Dust Settles Reprise” and then delivered a rare “Peoples” > “Peoples Pt. II” sequence. Friday’s first set also included the band’s remix of Lorde’s 2017 smash “Green Light.”

The closing frame began with an upright bass solo from Alana Rocklin in honor of Kol Nidre. Alana’s solo gave way to “Water Song” which in turn led into “Kaya.” Later in the set, STS9 would drop an “Awesome” > “Unquestionable Supremacy Of Nature” sequence before returning for the encore. Up first was “Real & Imagined” before Tribe covered the Grateful Dead’s “Shakedown Street” for the first time since Halloween ’14 as per PT’s stats.
