STS9 has revealed a change to their touring support crew. Longtime STS9 lighting designer Saxton Waller has decided to leave the band in order “to pursue new creative opportunities.”
Waller’s departure was confirmed in a message posted by the band. The message reads:
To all our friends, family, and the STS9 Community: As some of you may have heard, our lighting designer and dear friend Saxton Waller will be stepping away from our live shows to pursue new creative opportunities.
Some of us have known Saxton since we were kids in elementary school. We grew up going to shows and playing music together. Saxton has been lighting the way from front of house for us for many amazing years. We will all miss him out on the road with us, but his legacy and work with STS9 will live on.
Thank you, Saxton! Your passion and dedication to your art is inspiring. We’re excited for you, your new endeavors, and look forward to working together in the future.
Love you brother,
STS9
