Full Show Audio: The String Cheese Incident Welcomes Tony Furtado In Atlanta

Colorado jam titans The String Cheese Incident continued summer tour on Sunday with the first of two shows at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta. The band was joined by old friend Tony Furtado on banjo for the encore of Chastain Park.

SCI opened with a six-song first set heavy on the jams including lengthy takes on “Close Your Eyes,” “Betray The Dark” and “Rhythm Of The Road.” The second set featured more of the same with an expansive “Shine,” a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy For The Devil” and the always funky “Rosie” among the highlights. When The String Cheese Incident came out for the encore they brought longtime collaborator Tony Furtado with them for “Restless Wind.” The power went out towards the end of the song, but SCI played through and the power returned in time for the show’s conclusion.

The String Cheese Incident returns to Chastain Park tonight.
