The String Cheese Incident headlined Saturday’s lineup at the second annual Northlands Music and Arts Festival, which was held at Cheshire Fairgrounds in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Trey Anastasio Band trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick and Goose percussionist Jeff Arevalo joined SCI for a cover of The Jacksons’ classic “Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground).”
Hartswick, who was on-site to perform with The Nth Power and the Super Sonic Shorties ensemble, was the first of The String Cheese Incident’s guests. JHa came onstage with her trumpet to augment a first-set closing performance of SCI’s “Rosie.”

SCI brought Hartswick back out at the start of Saturday’s second set, this time bringing along Arevalo who was on-site to perform with the Goose off-shoot Orebolo. The second set started with the guests accompanying The String Cheese Incident on a funky cover of “Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground).” SCI last played “Shake Your Body” in 2018 and had only covered the 1978 hit a few times prior to that.
