Goose joined Cheese to kick off the latter’s second set on Friday, October 27. The 30-minute collab consisted of Goose’s “Animal” and the SCI classic “Texas.” Read an excerpt from JamBase’s coverage of the full-band sit-in:
Goose was on hand for a late-night set on Friday at Hulaween’s The Hallows Stage. The band’s Rick Mitarotonda played guitar, Peter Anspach was on keys with Ben Atkind and Jeff Arevalo joining SCI’s Jason Hann in percussion world for the Goose song “Animal” to start The String Cheese Incident’s initial second set of the festival.
“Animal” was left unfinished when Cheese and Goose segued into the SCI classic “Texas.” Goose later closed out “Animal” during their own set. Mitarotonda shredded a solo, sang a verse and added harmonies to the song penned by Bill Nershi which dates back to 1995. Additionally, Anspach and SCI keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth engaged in a multiple call-and-response segments and Hann, Arevalo and Atkind dueled on percussion.
