The String Cheese Incident released pro-shot video featuring a cover of Fela Kuti’s “Zombie” performed on June 23, 2017 with special guests Kamasi Washington and Robert “Sput” Searight at the Electric Forest festival in Rothbury, Michigan. Cheese shared the video in honor of Tony Allen, Fela's longtime drummer who recently died.

“Using a combination of Nigerian Traditional music, highlife music (Ghana), James Brown, and Jazz, Tony Allen created a wicked beat that would define the rhythm for Afrobeat music,” SCI percussionist Jason Hann wrote in a note about Allen accompanying the video. “Another amazing artist to walk our planet and made a worldwide impact. Yay to music!”
