The String Cheese Incident have performed with a who’s who of famed musicians over the years including The Doobie Brothers, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Kool & The Gang, Bob Weir, Zac Brown, Sheryl Crow and most recently John Fogerty. SCI guitarist/vocalist Bill Nershi told The Denver Post about the artist currently topping his bucket list when it comes to future musical collaborations.
“I’ve always wanted to play with Peter Frampton,” Nershi revealed. “I’m going to keep pushing for that.” The 73-year-old Frampton returned to the road in 2023 four years after completing a farewell tour that was precipitated when he was diagnosed with a degenerative muscular disease called inclusion-body myositis. Peter Frampton will continue his Never Say Never Tour this fall.

Bill Nershi and Cheese keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth mainly discussed The String Cheese Incident’s new album, Lend Me A Hand, with The Denver Post. The long-awaited follow-up to 2017’s Believe arrived this past Friday, September 8 via the band’s SCI Fidelity Records imprint.
“This album, for me, is one of those albums you can put on start to finish. It’s more of a book with multiple chapters,” Hollingsworth said of the 11-song effort. “It’s a complete image of where we are and who we are right now.”
Produced by Brad Cook, Lend Me A Hand comes as the Colorado-based jam sextet prepares to celebrate their 30th anniversary as a band. The String Cheese Incident will kick off the year-long celebration with a New Year's Eve run at Oakland's Fox Theater.
Next up for SCI is a headlining show tonight, Thursday, September 14 at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Scroll below for a full list of The String Cheese Incident tour dates.
