The String Cheese Incident Plays 1-Song Set At Electric Forest
By Scott Bernstein Jun 28, 2019 • 8:34 am PDT
The String Cheese Incident made the most of their 75-minute set on Thursday at Electric Forest. The sextet used their own “Rosie” to bookend one long jam last night in Rothbury, Michigan.
SCI, who have headlined the event since its start in 2011, called the improvisational segment a “Jubilee Jam” in reference to the stage where the set was held. At one point, guitarist Bill Nershi hinted at “Jellyfish” during a trance-heavy part of the jam yet the six-piece continued the improvisation. The band plays the Ranch Arena on Friday night and also performs at Electric Forest on Saturday night. Cheese drummer Michael Travis and percussionist Jason Hann followed last night’s jam-filled set with an EOTO performance of their own.
