Stream ‘You & I’ Collection Of Previously Unreleased Jeff Buckley Recordings

On March 11, Columbia/Legacy will release You & I, a collection of 10 previously unreleased Jeff Buckley recordings that includes eight covers and two originals. Today, NPR Music has premiered a stream of the LP two weeks ahead of its release.

Buckley, who tragically drowned in 1997, adds his own spin to such songs as Bob Dylan’s “Just Like A Woman,” the traditional tunes “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Cryin’” and “Poor Boy Long Way From Home,” Led Zeppelin’s “Night Flight,” “Calling You” by Bob Telson and The Smiths’ “The Boy With The Thorn In His Side” and “I Know It’s Over.” The collection also contains originals “Grace” and “Dream Of You And I.”

Buckley recorded most of the tracks found on the LP in 1993 and they are thought to be the first tracks laid down by Jeff for his label Columbia Records. Listen to You & I:
