On Friday night NYC funk revivalists Lettuce and Colorado’s own funk institution, The Motet, headlined Red Rocks for the first time. The show went on before a capacity crowd despite a massive hail storm enveloping the famed Morrison, Colorado venue. The Motet’s set included takes on “Rynodub,” “123” and “Knock It Down,” while Lettuce’s featured such songs as “Madison Square” and “(Nobody Else Can) Do I Like You Do” the latter of which featured Nigel Hall on vocals. Check out videos of the crazy scene during the storm as well as clips from both bands’ sets following the gallery.
