Watch Sting Perform Recently Revived Police Classic In Seattle

Sting has been touring hard over the past few years as he continues his ongoing trek in support of 2019’s My Songs. While the setlist since 2022 has remained fairly similar at each show, Sting did dust off a The Police hit last played in 2016 on Saturday and went on to perform the song again at the two concerts that followed.

The Police’s 1981 single “Invisible Sun” was broken out by Sting at the USANA Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah last Saturday, September 23. Sting wrote the song for inclusion on The Police’s fourth studio album, Ghost In The Machine.

Live performances of “Invisible Sun” have been few and far between since the bassist/vocalist went solo. Sting played the song once in 1994, 23 times in 2005 and seven times during his 2016 co-headlining tour with Peter Gabriel before shelving “Invisible Sun” as per Setlist.FM’s statistics.

Sting followed his first “Invisible Sun” in over seven years with additional performances of the song at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday and at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Wednesday. The Ghost In The Machine cut appeared in the 17-slot at all three of Sting’s latest concerts.
