Stevie Wonder kicked off another leg of his Songs In The Key Of Life Tour last night at Denver’s Pepsi Center. The audience was in for a special treat as Wonder brought out jazz piano masters Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock towards the end of the show for a two-song appearance.

Corea and Hancock hightailed it over to the Pepsi Center after a gig of their own at Denver’s Boettcher Concert Hall. The pair emerged towards the end of Wonder and his massive backing band’s performance of Stevie’s 1976 album Songs In The Key Of Life in its entirety for a rendition of “As.” Herbie contributed electric piano and handclaps to the studio version of “As.” Not only did Hancock and Corea guest on “As,” but they stuck around for a jam on Hancock’s “Watermelon Man.” Wonder completed the full Songs In The Key Of Life with “Another Star” after Chick and Herbie left the stage. The legendary musician then treated fans to a triple dose of hits as an encore -“Living For The City,” “Uptight (Everything’s Alright)” and “Superstition.”
