Steely Dan played the penulimate gig of a U.K./Ireland Tour featuring support from Steve Winwood on Monday night at the SSE Arena Wembley in London. Winwood sat-in with Steely Dan, who later shared the stage with guitarist Elliott Randall.

Steve Winwood opened the night with a career-spanning set that mixed solo material with songs from his days in The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and a few choice covers. The Dan then presented a 16-song main set and a two-song encore. Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen emerged for “Bodhisattva” and the rest of the show after the band covered Ray Bryant’s “Cubano Chant.” Fagen went on to lead the group through “Hey Nineteen” and “Black Friday” before welcoming Steve Winwood for “Pretzel Logic.” Winwood played organ and handled vocals on the title track from Steely Dan’s 1974 studio album.

The concert continued with more Steely Dan favorites including “Green Earrings,” “Kid Charlemagne,” “Josie” and “My Old School.” When the band returned for the encore they were joined by Randall. Elliott famously contributed solos to the studio version of The Dan’s 1972 hit “Reelin’ In The Years.” He was then invited to join the group as a permanent member but declined, though Elliott did play on 1975’s Katy Lied and 1976’s The Royal Scam. Last night, Randall added to “Reelin’ In The Years” before the “A Man Ain’t Supposed To Cry” finale. Watch fan-shot videos from Monday’s concert:
