Steve Poltz released a new single, “Can O’ Pop.” The tune is set for the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming album, Stardust & Satellites, due this Friday through Red House Records.
Poltz announced Stardust & Satellites — produced by The Wood Brothers’ Oliver Wood and Jano Rix — in November and shared the single, “Conveyor Belt.” Steve followed with “Miles In My Heart” and now “Can O’ Pop.”

The latest single arrived with an accompanying animated music video by artist/animator Duncan Hatch (Galactic, American Authors) and premiered by Rolling Stone Country. Poltz praised Hatch and recalled watching the video while on tour with The Wood Brothers with RSC.
What a glorious video that dude Mr. Hatch made. He totally nailed it. I just watched it while on tour with The Wood Brothers. They let me ride on their fancy tour bus with them and they had a big old tv and we howled and danced and sang along at the top of our lungs. All I did was write the song with my pal Jano Rix. That video dude did all the heavy lifting. God bless him. Wow wow wow. It’s weird to see your song all grown up with a college degree.
