Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers Perform ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers recently performed a set for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert video series. The comedian/banjo player and his backing group showcased songs from their just-released new collaborative album.
Last week saw the release of Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers’ latest LP, The Long-Awaited Album on Rounder Records. Martin enlisted the group for his previous releases, 2011’s Rare Bird Alert, 2013’s Love Has Come For You and 2014’s Live. The Tiny Desk set saw Martin on banjo while backed by guitarist Woody Platt, percussionist Mike Ashworth, mandolin player Mike Guggino, bassist Charles Humphrey, banjo player Graham Sharp and fiddler Nicky Sanders.
The collective performed the new album cuts “So Familiar,” “All Night Long,” “On The Water” and “Caroline.” Watch their Tiny Desk Concert below:
