Steve Martin & Martin Short Announce Summer Tour 2020 With Steep Canyon Rangers & More
Steve Martin and Martin Short will tour with Steep Canyon Rangers and more this summer for their “The Funniest Show In Town At The Moment” production. The comedy legends will hit both coasts, the Midwest and more.
“Marty and I love touring, especially while we can still tolerate each other,” Martin said in a statement. “There are few people that I truly admire,” Short added. “And Steve Martin is very close to being one of them.”
Steep Canyon Rangers will begin the tour with Martin and Short on July 17 in Irvine, California along with renowned jazz pianist and Jimmy Kimmel Live band member Jeff Babko. Babko will continue on with SCR and the comedy duo in California for shows in Paso Robles and Fresno before the tour jumps to Columbus, Ohio where legendary Letterman bandleader Paul Shaffer will replace Babko. SCR and Shaffer will stay on with Martin and Short through Wantagh, New York; Vienna, Virginia; Stamford, Connecticut; Gilford, New Hampshire and Canandaigua, New York.
SCR will leave the tour at that point which will continue through Sterling Heights, Michigan; Chicago; Madison, Wisconsin; Raleigh, North Carolina and Atlanta with Shaffer, Alison Brown, Fair Weather Friends and Della Mae on select dates. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 21.
