Watch St. Vincent & The Roots Deliver Stunning Portishead Cover On ‘Fallon’

St. Vincent (Annie Clark) was the musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday. Clark teamed up with The Roots for a cover of Portishead’s “Glory Box.”

“Glory Box” appears on English group Portishead’s 1994 debut album Dummy and samples Isaac Hayes’ “Ike’s Rap II.” St. Vincent stopped by 30 Rock to perform the song on ‘The Tonight Show” ahead of her appearance at the Love Rocks NYC benefit concert.

Backed by The Roots and a string section, Clark delivered a stellar vocal performance on “Glory Box,” including the number’s rousing chorus. She also ripped up a guitar solo.
