Special Grateful Dead Announcement Coming This Afternoon

UPDATE: It’s been confirmed Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Bob Weir will be joined by Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and one-time Grateful Dead member Bruce Hornsby for a pair of additional Fare Thee Well -Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead performances at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on June 27 and 28.
This afternoon at 3 p.m. ET Tales From The Golden Road hosts David Gans and Legs Lambert will make a “special” announcement regarding Grateful Dead 50 on SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead channel as they present a special episode of their show, which usually airs on Sundays.

— AFink (@Finkerton) April 10, 2015 The Grateful Dead channel is Channel 23 on SiriusXM. As of press time there’s no further word on just what the hosts will announce but the Tweet from Fink does include the “#Dead50” hashtag.
