Spafford Bassist Jordan Fairless Taking Break From Touring

Spafford founding bassist Jordan Fairless will “step back from the beginning of fall tour,” as per a social media post from the band. Spafford also announced that Shon Gordon will fill in for Fairless.

Spafford was involved in a car accident while on the road in March. Guitarist Brian Moss recently took some time away from touring following the accident with Aqueous’ Mike Gantzer stepping in. Fairless also cited the accident as a reason for the hiatus from touring.

As the band noted, Shon Gordon will play bass for the band’s August dates. Gordon is a professional bassist based out of Boston and plays with the bands ElephantProof and Skunk Jesus, as per his Instagram account.
