Sound Summit returns to the idyllic Mountain Theater atop Mount Tamalpais in Mill Valley, California on Saturday, September 7. The one-day music festival boasts a diverse 2024 lineup headlined by Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile & The Violators and The California Honeydrops.
Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge and Skyway Man round out Sound Summit’s 2024 lineup. Murph & Mac will serve as the festival’s emcees. Additionally, Andy Cabic of Vetiver will spin records in between sets.
Sound Summit is held annually to celebrate and raise funds for Mount Tamalpais State Park. The festival is produced at the 4,000-seat natural stone amphitheater by the Roots & Branches Conservancy. Over $250,000 has been donated from festival proceeds to date for repairs and improvements to the facility.
“The piece that we love about Sound Summit,” said festival producer and Roots & Branches Conservancy board president Michael Nash, “is not only staging a resonant musical gathering in this stellar spot high above the Bay, but that we’ve been able to in turn fund truly meaningful projects on the mountain that enhance public access and experience, let alone others around fire prevention, water conservation, emergency equipment and services, and more. It’s a full circle, the proverbial gift that keeps on giving.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 7 at 10 a.m. PT. Click below for more information.
