For each of the past six years Soulive has played guest-filled residencies in March at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl dubbed “Bowlive.” This afternoon the trio has announced the 2016 installment of Bowlive will take place later than usual. The decision was made so that the 7th annual residency coincides with the release of the new Soulive studio album which the band is working on with Derek Vincent Smith, aka Pretty Lights.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about when we’ll announce the dates for Bowlive 7… Although, traditionally, Bowlive has taken place in March, we’re going to push it back to later in 2016 to coincide with the release of our next record, which we’ve been working on with Derek Vincent Smith (Pretty Lights). When coming to this decision, we kept discussing how we want to ensure that Bowlive continues to remain fresh and we are able to break new musical ground each year with a long list of special guests. Moving it to later in the year, when we’ll have new music and more time to hand pick the perfect line-up, will help us achieve that goal. We promise Bowlive will be back, stronger than ever.We still wanted to play one show in NYC in March, so we’re teaming up with Galactic (and The Bright Light Social Hour opening) on Saturday March 26th at Terminal 5.
We’ll see you all soon.
