New Orleans brass band The Soul Rebels will play the intimate confines of the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City late night on Saturday, July 21. The group will be joined by special guests Talib Kweli, GZA and Keyon Harrold.
Soul Rebels’ rare NYC underplay comes after their performance at the Louis Armstrong Wonderful World Festival at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens earlier in the day. Hip-hop icons Talib Kweli and GZA (Wu-Tang Clan) and jazz trumpeter Harrold have shared the stage with the eight-piece brass band in the past. GZA recently teamed up with The Soul Rebels for a performance on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series.
Reservations are available via the venue’s website.
