Sonos will bring famed rock photographer Danny Clinch to the company’s flagship Soho store for a Phish-only installment of Clinch’s popular “Clinch Crates” photo sale. A portion of all print sales will be donated to Phish’s The Waterwheel Foundation.
Danny Clinch has a long relationship with the Vermont jam act. “Clinch Crates” will give fans the opportunity to buy rare photos of the band both on and off the stage. Look for Danny to tell the stories behind the works and meet fans as part of the event. The Phish installment of “Clinch Crates” will take place on Saturday, August 5 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 101 Greene Street in New York City.
Read a statement from Clinch about “Clinch Crates”:
The Clinch Crates idea comes from a recent moment when I was in my storage unit and discovered piles of old school prints of mine. I began to dig through them and I discovered many gems hidden in these piles. Some I had printed myself: small prints, large prints, contact sheets, and polaroids. I would come upon a box for example with PHISH written on it and it would be filled with incredible moments I had captured. In the spirit of digging through milk crates for vinyl records, the idea of digging through crates for photographs was born, and by keeping the costs of these prints affordable, it allows fans a unique opportunity to own a fine art photograph of musicians they admire
