Soccer Mommy, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Sophie Allison, appeared as the musical guest on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live episode. Allison performed the song “Driver” from her excellent 2024 album, Evergreenem.
Allison recorded the follow-up to her 2022 album, Sometimes, Forever, with producer Ben H. Allen III at Maze Studios in Atlanta. In addition to her late night television appearance, Allison also released a stripped-down studio version of “Driver,” featuring acoustic guitars, flutes and other new instrumentation.
Playing acoustic guitar, Allison’s Kimmel performance saw her backed by a band consisting of synthesizer, cello and additional acoustic guitar. Watch the captivating “Driver” presentation and stream the stripped version of the track below:
