The Smashing Pumpkins announced 2023 summer tour dates with support from Interpol, Stone Temple Pilots and Rival Sons on select dates. The World Is A Vampire Tour — the Pumpkins’ first with their full three-part album Atum out in the wild — gets underway in July and stretches into September.

“I grew up in a world where I needed to know bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed, it meant there was a place for people like me to hang out and belong. That’s what The World Is A Vampire is about,” Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan said of the 2023 trek. “Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about having a shared experience and respecting others, but ultimately having fun. A true alternative festival, where all the self-proclaimed weirdos and outsiders of the world can get together and have a party.”

The World Is A Vampire Tour — which will also see exhibitions by the Corgan-owned National Wrestling Alliance — kicks off on July 28 at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas ahead of an encore performance in Sin City on July 30. August 1 sees The Smashing Pumpkins and company in Salt Lake City followed by a West Coast run with stops in the Bay, Seattle, Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego areas.

On August 13 The World Is A Vampire Tour swings through Albuquerque followed by shows in Dallas, Texas; Rogers, Arkansas; and Huntsville, Alabama on August 17. Two Florida dates in West Palm Beach and Tampa follow.

Corgan and company come to Charlotte on August 22 followed by shows in Holmdel, New Jersey; Gilford, New Hampshire; Wantagh, New York; and Bristol, Virginia. The World Is Vampire Tour comes to Canada beginning in Toronto on September 2 ahead of a show in Ottawa.

On September 6, Corgan and company hit the Detroit area before heading to Franklin, Tennessee near Nashville. The last date on The World Is A Vampire Tour so far is at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana on September 9.

A pre-sale begins Tuesday, March 28 with tickets going on sale to the general public on Friday, March 31 at 10 a.m. local venue time.
