The Smashing Pumpkins performed “Beguiled” on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The song is the first single off the band’s forthcoming studio album, Atum.

The ambitious Atum (pronounced “Autumn”) is a rock opera featuring 33 songs that will be released in three parts. Act 1 is due out on November 15 with Act 2 following on January 31 and Act 3 concluding the series on April 21. Frontman Billy Corgan recently launched a podcast entitled Thirty-Three With William Patrick Corgan. Each episode will feature the premiere of and a deep dive into a song from Atum. The rock opera is presented as the sequel to 1995’s Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness and 2000’s Machina/Machine Of God.

“Beguiled” was debuted live by The Smashing Pumpkins during a surprise show held at intimate hometown venue Metro in Chicago on Tuesday night. The concert at the 1,100-capacity venue was held to celebrate the announcement of Atum.
