The Smashing Pumpkins appeared on yesterday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show. The band led by Billy Corgan was on the long-running SiriusXM program to unveil The World Is A Vampire Tour and also performed a few songs including the classic “1979.”
The Pumpkins were also on Howard Stern to promote their new three-part album Atum (pronounced “autumn”) with the third and final Act 3 arriving on May 5. As Corgan noted when the band announced the project, Atum is a sequel to the band’s 2000 album Machina/The Machines of God and 1995’s Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
