Sleep Reveals New Lineup, Single & Fall 2026 Tour Dates

Stoner rock pioneers Sleep released a new single, “Have Spacesuit Will Travel,” the band’s first new music following the departure of co-founding guitarist Matt Pike. The group led by bassist Al Cisneros is also set to tour North America this fall.
Sleep will continue as a trio with new members with Bubba Dupree (Void) on guitar and Dale Crover (Melvins, Redd Kross) on drums.
“The vibe of the first jam was obvious,” Cisneros said of the newly minted trio. “It was blue sunglasses-era Iommi in the quality, and equally awesome is Bubba is also one of the coolest people I’ve been able to make music with.”
The first taste from the new-look Sleep is “Have Spacesuit Will Travel,” which arrived today via Third Man Records. Listen below:
Sleep is set to hit the road this fall. The tour kicks off on September 8 at The Observatory North Park in San Diego. The band will also roll through Phoenix, Dallas, Austin, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston and Brooklyn, among other stops. The tour wraps on November 17 at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C.
Artist presale begins Tuesday, June 23, at 10 a.m. local time. Public on-sale begins Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. local time.
