Acclaimed Pacific Northwest rockers Sleater-Kinney stopped by KEXP Studios in January to perform for the Seattle listener-supported radio station’s Live on KEXP series. Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein led the band through songs from their 2024 album, Little Rope.
Sleater-Kinney captured their Live on KEXP performance on January 16. Little Rope arrived on January 19 via Loma Vista Recordings.
Recorded in Portland, Oregon, Sleater-Kinney’s 10th studio album was described in press materials as “a meditation on what living in a world of perpetual crisis has done to us, and what we do to the world in return.” The record also saw Brownstein processing the grief of losing her mother and stepfather to a car accident in Italy.

The band continued with the record’s opening track and lead single, “Hell,” followed by “Hunt You Down.” Sleater-Kinney wrapped the session with Little Rope closer “Untidy Creature.”
