Sleater-Kinney are back with a new single entitled “Hurry On Home” and confirmation of an extensive North American tour. “Hurry On Home” is the trio’s first new music since 2015 and was produced by Annie Clark (St. Vincent).

Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss shared a photo earlier this year showing them working with Clark in the studio. “Hurry On Home” is the first product of those sessions and a press release notes there is “more eagerly anticipated new music on the horizon.”

“I think for Carrie and Corin it was liberating to explore a different sound palette,” said Weiss. “Instead of just going into the studio to document what we’d done, we were going in to explore and to find the essence of something. To dig in deeper,” added Brownstein. Check out the lyric video directed by Miranda July below:

Sleater-Kinney kicks off their fall tour of North America at the Fox Theatre in Spokane on October 8. From there, the trio heads to the Midwest via the Pacific Northwest and Colorado ahead of a run up the East Coast. The band will play two shows in New York City including a Halloween concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom. It’s then off to Toronto before more gigs in the Midwest and three performances in Texas. The tour is currently slated to end with a run up the West Coast.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. local time.
