“American Dreaming” is the opening track from Ferrell’s excellent 2024 studio album, Trail Of Flowers. The 12-track follow-up to 2021’s Long Time Coming was mostly recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville with Eddie Spear and Gary Paczosa producing.

“Wake up again in an old motel, is it somewhere different? I can’t tell. Every set of curtains opens to the open road…” Ferrell sings to begin “American Dreaming,” a tale of resilience. Sierra Ferrell is joined on the song by her backing band consisting of mandolinist/guitarist Josh Rilko and fiddler/guitarist Oliver Bates Craven, bassist Geoff Saunders and drummer Matty Meyer.
