Sheryl Crow delivered a set at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, North Carolina on Monday. The renowned singer-songwriter welcomed co-headliner Jason Isbell for a Bob Dylan cover halfway through the set.
Crow loaded the first half of the set with hits like “If It Makes You Happy,” “All I Wanna Do,” “My Favorite Mistake,” “A Change Would Do You Good” and “Strong Enough.” Following “Leaving Las Vegas,” Sheryl welcomed Isbell, who, along with his band The 400 Unit and Waxahatchee, are touring with Crow in June 2022.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriters offered their cover of Bob Dylan’s “Everything Is Broken” from his 1989 album Oh Mercy. The duo recorded the song together for Crow’s 2019 collaborative album Threads. The choice cover saw Sheryl and Jason trading the first two verses and swapping lines on the bridge before dueting on the final stanzas. The musicians also traded licks with Isbell on guitar and Crow on harmonica.
While no video of the North Carolina “Everything Is Broken” has surfaced, watch Jason and Sheryl team up for the Dylan tune on June 11 in South Carolina below:
