Shannon & The Clams Bring ‘The Moon Is In The Wrong Place’ Gems To The Current

Bay Area outfit Shannon and the Clams recently captured a performance for Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current. The quartet performed songs from their 2024 album, The Moon Is In The Wrong Place.

The Moon Is In The Wrong Place arrived on May 10 through The Black Keys guitarist Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound label. Auerbach, a longtime collaborator of the band, also produced the record.

Shannon and the Clams — bassist Shannon Shaw, guitarist Cody Blanchard, keyboardist William Sprott and drummer Nathaniel Mahan — kicked off their Current session with The Moon Is In The Wrong Place single, “Bean Fields.”

The quartet continued with deep cut “What You’re Missing.” The session came to a close with another The Moon Is In The Wrong Place single, “Real Or Magic.”
